Christine's Product Reviews

These delicious burgers are simple to make and are flavored with A1 sauce, onion, parsley and more. Burger recipes are usually served with burger buns but this is not always the case and in the following A1 steak sauce burgers recipe they are served with a tasty homemade gravy instead.

This is a great recipe for busy weeknights when you have to feed the whole family and this recipe is easy enough to double if you have extra people over for dinner. Feel free to add some Merlot or a similar red wine to the gravy if you want. Also, sautéed mushrooms are good in the homemade gravy recipe. You can use beef bouillon instead of the beef broth and the crockpot is another way of keeping everything warm.

Many burger recipes feature gravy instead of just frying them and serving them on buns the gravy helps keep everything moist and adds richness to the burgers. You can place the burgers in the gravy and let them simmer a little to infuse the gravy into the burgers and it is also a nice dish to serve with mashed potatoes instead of the normal fries. Try making the potatoes with sour cream for a rich cream and bold flavor to go well and compliment the gravy. If using mushrooms in the gravy just slice them thin and sauté them until they just start to turn slightly brown and let everything simmer together for a short time to meld all the flavors. The A-1 gives the burgers a nice bold flavor all their own and it is a nice idea no matter how you end up serving them to add depth to them.

Photo Description:

Although the picture shows fries and mixed vegetables the sides can go many different ways depending on your preference mashed potatoes always go nice with meat and gravy and also another choice would be a nice fresh slaw or potato salad as other possible side dishes. It is really up to you and just because the picture has one set of sides doesn’t mean you are stuck going down that path if you have a different preference. The gravy is the key here it ties all the different elements together so pick complimenting sides based on that is another way to go.
