These tasty desserts are filled with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Some of the healthiest options that pack the most punch include blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.

Eat them in smoothies, on waffles, or in chilled fruit salads. Do not forget about melons as well. Watermelon and other melons make wonderful snacks that will be refreshing on a hot afternoon. Try adding other fruits to your diet to expand your child’s palate, such as papayas, apricots, nectarines, mangoes, kiwi, grapes, pineapple, and more.

Fresh Veggies Not only will you find an abundance of fruits in the summer, but there are plenty of fresh veggies to choose from as well. Consider taking your kids to a produce stand or a farmer’s market to see all the beautiful vegetables in many different colors. Grab plenty of corn on the cob to grill or boil. Choose plenty of great onions and colored peppers to go with quesadillas, grilled dishes, and more. Do not forget veggies for a nice salad as well, which is always a refreshing addition to any meal.
